My hubby turned 32 yesterday. He took a snow day from work to go ski with a friend. Then dinner at Ding How with his parents. It was a good evening. The kids were great at the restaurant, and then they went to stay the night with Darlene and Dean. Reggie and I got ice cream and headed home to watch movies and just be alone. He sound it was a great birthday. =)

Anniversary
November 22 is our anniversary. Three years! It's amazing how fast time goes. We decided to stay home. Darlene took the kids for the evening and we made dinner together and hung out. It was great, we didn't have to rush anywhere or back. I normally don't like hanging out at home because I feel like I should be cleaning something. Our place looked good and we had more time together. Reggie is a better cook then most restaurants. :) It was an amazing, great night. I love us and thank God everyday for my husband.

Scarywood
Last week I went to Scarywood with Reggie, my brother Brandon and my soon to be sister-in-law Kaylie. It was fun and scary. I am a big sissy when it comes to that kind of stuff. It was nice to spend time with Brandon and Kaylie. And I didn't have bad dreams, always a good thing.

Birthday
My birthday was last week. I'm 31 and a week old now and feel great. The day of my birthday was filled with cranky children but the evening was great. Reggie and I walked to the park to see the play Much Ado About Nothing. We were and late and had to leave early cause we had to pick the kiddos up, but it still was so fun. I hope it's something the park does more often.
My mother-in-law Darlene surprised me with this cake when we picked the kids up. It was so sweet of her and the cake was very yummy.
To make my birthday feel longer, on Saturday the 5 of us went to the Harvest House in Greenbluff to pick peaches and have ice cream. We were too late to pick and were very bummed about that. And it was very hot, but us Oakes make the best of things. We still had ice cream, the kids got free guitars, we bought peaches, let the kids run around. Over all it was good, we do want to go back when we can pick our own fruit. But any family time is a good time. :)

My Week in a Nutshell
Monday was my brother, Brandon's birthday. He comes over on Mondays with Neaveh to play in the water and what not, but this day I thought it would be fun to do something else. With Erica's help (I can't fit everyone in my car) we went and had lunch at Broadway, grown ups had Wendy's. Then to have a special ice cream treat at BR. Later that evening with went to my dad's for pizza and cookies. It was a good day and I believe Brandon had a good birthday.
Tuesday was Summer's yearly eye appointment. She has been going for years. It use to be twice a year but thank goodness it's one a year now. She has "wall eye" which means her eye looks towards the wall and takes it's time focusing. But good news 'It looks good.' says the doc. Summer was awesome! They had to dilate her eyes and in the past it hasn't always gone so well. But this time she let them and didn't complain. On the way home I got her a special drink and we watched movies when we got home.
Wednesday was Millwood Park in the afternoon and then to the farmer's market to get WIC checks. Erica and company joined in on this adventure. Later I went to my mom's for dinner and a movie. We try to do this every once in awhile. Laughing is good for the soul and stomach.
This is what I came home to that same night. My kiddos are lucky to have such a great, fort making daddy. :)
Thursday was toes and coffee with my mom during the day and date night with my hubby. My mom watched the kiddos at her house in Post Falls so we stuck around there. We found out we can have fun doing anything and nothing. We spend most of our time talking to Kent at Ace Hardware. Nice enough guy. And driving around new neighbors at sunset. A great sunset.
Friday was our chill day. The kids painted and played. Summer showed the boys how to finger paint. They loved it. We did go to the library, but had to leave fast because the boys weren't the best behaved kiddos there. Went for a run with Reggie while Summer was at Darlene's. As a family we played outside then went to the store for goodies. I love the family moments. :)
Today, Saturday, is another chill day. Summer woke up sick. Lots of movies and hanging out.
Tomorrow we look at a house and hopefully do something with Darlene, who's birthday is on Monday.
That's my week!! :)

Date Night
Friday night was DATE NIGHT!! Summer stayed the night at Kim's house, Reggie's mom, Darlene, took the boys for a bit. Since the weather was o.k. we went to Post Falls, first to Corbin Park to look at the river, which is really high right now. Played on the rocks a bit, then went to Toro Viejo for some yummy burritos. It was a great, chill kind of night.
Slimy stuff and yes that's my finger in the corner.
Cleaning writing off the rock.

Love him!!
Something new, Chili Poppers. They were o.k.
Super and Macho Burrtios, YUM.

A Wizard, a Race, and a Surprise = A Great Weekend!!
This was a marathon weekend, but very great! Started Friday night with dinner at Tito's Italain Grill, then Wizard of OZ at the Coeur d' Alene summer theatre. Guests: Dad, LeAnn, Reggie, Summer and of course me. Dinner was fun, Summer made her own pizza. The play was amazing!!
On to Sunday which was Erica's surprise birthday party. I've been stressing all week about it, because I was afraid I would be the one to give it away. But I did good. I don't think she was too surprised, but she didn't know who was going to be there, so that surprised her. It was fun. I stayed till dinner. She has a great family, I enjoy hanging out with them.

Next was the City Scape on Saturday. It was a race to see who could finish the 12 clues before anyone else. We did not come close to winning, but had so much fun. I want to do it again next year. And then I have a feeling we will do better knowing what to except. Here's a few pictures.
