Anniversary

November 22 is our anniversary. Three years! It's amazing how fast time goes. We decided to stay home. Darlene took the kids for the evening and we made dinner together and hung out. It was great, we didn't have to rush anywhere or back. I normally don't like hanging out at home because I feel like I should be cleaning something. Our place looked good and we had more time together. Reggie is a better cook then most restaurants. :) It was an amazing, great night. I love us and thank God everyday for my husband.

Beautiful roses Reggie gave me.

Yummy dinner!

Round Table

Last Friday evening my kiddos had a picture appointment at the church where I attend MOPS. It was a fundraiser called Antiquities. It was kind of hard, the boys were not happy and cried alot. Summer was awesome. So we shall see how the pictures turn out. But the blessing out of the whole thing was the time we spent together as a family. After we went to Round Table pizza for dinner. Everyone was in a great mood there. I love moments like that. Smiles, laughing, being together, and pizza. It turned out to be a great Friday evening. :)

Bras for a Cause

Last night was an event at my mom's work called Bras for a Cause. A girl's night out that supported Susan G. Komen for the Cure. There were bras, food, wine, hair bling. Even though the turn out wasn't as big as expected, I had fun. I found some fun bras that wouldn't fit me normally and wore them outside my clothes. It made people laughed, I love laughing. Kaylie won the raffle, Erica got some hair bling. Plus it was nice to be away from the kids for a few hours. I think they raised a good sum of money too. Girls night out are fun.

Kaylie and I showing off. Note my face: I couldn't stop laughing. :)

Erica getting pink hair bling. It turned out cute.

Blessing Journal

I started keeping a blessing journal after going to the very cool event at my church. I miss some days but it has been a nice reminder that God is always around. Even in the small things. Here are a few things off my list.
  • Automatic coffee maker
  • Sunbeams through the clouds
  • window stickers
  • a car
  • A church where I feel welcome and can be myself
  • 3 cavity free kiddos
  • yummy samples at the store
  • a daughter that makes me laugh
  • a husband who stops by the store on his way home from work

Banana Bread and other baking fun

Banana Bread
1 cup sugar                                 oven temp: 350*
1/2 cup shorten                           time: 1 hour -1 1/2 hour
2 eggs - beat
cream together
3 mashed bananas
1 tsp vanilla
mix all together
1/2 cup walnuts - chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp powder
1 3/4 cup flour

I make this when I have bad bananas

And just because I have pictures I thought I would show off other things I've been doing.
I made these for Teen MOPS. Spice (box) cake mix with frosting.

These cookies were made for my church. They threw a big Halloween party and needed cookies and cakes for the cake walk game. Even through we didn't go I wanted to help out. I made the dough and frosting. Summer helped me decorate.

Frosting
1 lb. powered sugar
1 stick butter
3-4 tsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
mix together
I really like this frosting.

MOPS

It's the first Friday and that means MOPS! Always a good time. I'm not sure why I love it so much, there are many reasons. But I think over all I like it for the 'moms'. I like to see the other lades enjoying themselves. I love to see the Queen's face when her name is called. I feel like God has a hand it all. It is something I feel very blessed to be apart of. :)

Halloween

Halloween was fun. We decided to keep it simple and walk to a friend's house and trick or treat with them. That way we didn't have to drive and really we like it old school. Bonus the weather was better then it had been for years. Summer loved it because she was with her friends. The boys now know good stuff goes in to their pumpkins. They were very cute holding their buckets out to the people. It was a good Halloween night.
